It's been a while since I posted here. All been somewhat chaotic in FoURland... I haven't seen the others in the last 2 weeks (flat move from hell) so I have no idea what the Xmas plan is!

Played the Standard - as mentioned below - which was interesting. I've still got lumps on my arm after falling over on stage so the less said the better. Thanks to everyone for putting up with it. A bit wrong, shall we say?

Just a quick one, but a big thanks to all those people who supported us on Saturday at the Turtle.

Well.... We won. Not entirely sure how (we played better in the heat!), but it seemed to be quite convincingly too. Big ups to the usual suspects: Springer for the sound, Ernesto for the volume, Lucas/S8, the 4 family, the Inner Rage boys, Mallory Knox girls, the other bands & everyone else who stuck around.

We seem to be playing on 20/11 an Nambucca (Holloway Road, heading towards Archway from Nags Head) and also on 8/12 but no idea about that one yet.

We'll stick something down when we get more info, but in the meantime have a good one.

Almost a Disaster

Yup, that was Saturday. Thanks to a number of circumstances we almost had a lot of problems.... But it all came together in the end! Thank f*ck. We are through to the final, which is on the 29th Oct back at the Turtle.

Thanks to: Everyone who came to support us - great showing of the claw, Lucas for letting us bounce the running order (and Halo Effect for not complaining!), Springer for the sound, Doyle & Thiago for being on standby, and everyone else that had to put up with us! I'm all warm & gooey inside... :-)

Nice one. Wouldn't have thought it was our first gig in months after a distinct lack of proper rehearsing! Hehehe!

ps Be sure to check out Inner Rage who will be representing on the 22nd.

OK. We have rehearsed a few times since I last posted, but due to a Mario/motorbike incident, and my work (ie out of the country last week and next week...), this has been quite restricted.

We should have some upcoming bits & pieces in around October, but July, August & September do seem to have been a bit of a write off. Oh well.

Anyhoo, the new studio is an improvement, and our neighbours are pretty nice so that at least is a good thing!

Just a placeholder, really. The new studio is (finally) being fitted out this week. This is due to bombs, work, suppliers, and pretty much every other delay that you can imagine. Well, the wait's over & with any luck when we finish up on Friday both Inner Rage & ourselves will have a shiny, soundproofed studio. We've met some of the other guys in the new complex & the're pretty cool, so all bodes well.

As we've not actually got together for the past 3 weeks or so there isn't much other news, but I'll post when there is.

Right. We have finally moved out of the now (as of last night) defunt Alienistic studios and moved into a weird-ass buiding off Gray's Inn Road. It definitely has potential, lets put it like that.

However, it's now a good time to say good luck to Gary, Holly & everyone else who's been through Alienistic.... See you all soon!

We will be getting our *&%£ together next week, and are also talking to Ben regarding some techie stuff that needs doing before the depmo is ready. Mucho mixing has been done, but it is my (as always) guitar that needs some attention. We should have a rough mix of something done soon, and I will put it up here when it's available. If I'm allowed to, that is.

We also have pictures from the last couple of gigs, and Wes needs badgering (ooer) for some lyrics. I may get round to doing something to the site this weekend, but I've said that before.

Saturday night was interesting. Apparently it was the lowest ever turn-out at Feet First, which was entertaining. Wasn't a great show, but there you go - at least there were some educational photos takes (which may go on the site, eventually). Thanks to everyone who did turn up, though...! ;-)

Indeed, I have some. Isn't it nice.

1) Wes did record his vox last week. There is still a bunch of faffing/re-recording/etc to be done, but the bones is there. Yay.

2) Musical chairs. More to follow.

3) Musical stupidity. More to follow.

4) Gig on Saturday June 18th. 'Relapse' downstairs at the Dome - Junction Rd, Tufnell Park. 10pm doors, 11:30 first band - club night with us and Orakai playing. No cost details yet, but it should be fun. We should also be playing 1 or 2 new songs, as long as we get the ending of the complicated one nailed!

Wes should have recorded some of his vocal parts for the CD last night, which means that we are inching towards some sort of conclusion.

We don't really have too much else planned right now, but there'll be something put up here when we have more news.

Thanks for everyone who came along to Saturday's Purple Turtle, um, extravaganza. YES!!! I know!!! I screwed up the start of the set again! Ooooops. Not happy about that, so much slapping of self about the head was done afterwards.

We've got to get it together for May Day's Underworld event, so this week we're on a mission. We'll try to get our new one nailed, but whether we'll be happy with it in time for the gig is debateable in the time available.

On the other (recording, ahem) front, I think that Tam is doing his parts this week. We're almost there... sort of. Oh well... Lucas from Section 8 called us a 'concept' rather then a band, and I don' think that he's too wrong!!
