Back to reality

The tour was interesting, ahem!

Big ups to: Evidence of Trauma (nutters), Nebukadnezza (comedy wronguns), Andy (driver nutter), Springer (sounds & weed) & Roach (along for the ride). Cheers to the Barrow promoters for the food (heh) and the Glasgow guys for the floor too...

The casualty list: 1 x bass head (left in Aberdeen), 1 x camera (mine), 1 x van (roadkill + wall damamge), several x people's sanity. The rest isn't decent/legal.

We now have to get our crap together & decide what to do next.... Wahey! We'll add the picture when we get them.

Right, here we go!

Hi!

RAMWA was an interesting evening. Cargo was a little cramped with a wrestling ring in it, but it was all good fun. Photos to come.

The tour starts on Thursday in Grimsby. We've got the transport sorted, and are pretty much done with the organisation. If you're in Grimsby on Thursday, Barrow-in-Furness on Friday, Aberdeen on Saturday or Camden on Monday come along and say hello.

Finally, the shirts are ready. We'll be flogging them on the tour. They're very nice.

Catch you soon, innit!

PS It looks like we may be playing back in Barrow with the Blood Island Raiders in September. More to follow.

Hello!

We're in the process of preparing for RAMWA this week, and have just finalised the vehical hire for the tour. Muchos cash, but we did manage to get some OK deals in the end!

Also on the way are some shirts. They should be nasty, but we'll post here when they're done....

Go to shoot, so catch yous later, innit!

Updates
Posted by Hairy Chris on Mon, 26 Jul 2004 12:40pm

I actually managed to do it, hooray! There are now some new pictures in the 'pics' section, and I have added a brief description of our upcoming shows in the gigs part. I will put more details on when I get them.

I hate mornings

Hi there. Got a couple of words here. First, I am planning to update the gigs & photos section of the site over the weekend, as we're a bit out of date.

Secondly, August dates:
12/8 - RAMWA @ Cargo (www.ramwa.com)

With Nebukadnezza (all) & Evidence of Trauma (all except London)
19/8 - Matrix Club, Grimsby
20/8 - TBC, Barrow-In-Furness
21/8 - Dr Drakes, Aberdeen
23/8 - Purple Turtle, Camden

I'll put a bit more in the gigs section.

Finally, if you visit this site, leave your comments/opinions/abuse on our forum. We're always interested in what people have to say.

Laters!

Happy Holidays

Hi all. Sanctum was entertaining. Big thanks to everyone who turned up to help and support us - you all rock. A lot. There are some pictures to sort through, so with any luck we'll have them up at some point.

I think that this means that we're going to need to sort our recording situation out pretty sharpish. Hmmm. Right. Erm, OK.

What's next? Well, not too much for the rest of the month, but August brings RAMWA at Cargo, followed by a 4(ish) date tour with Nebukadnezza and Evidence of Trauma. More to follow.

Anyway, have fun & see you soon (and apologies to anyone I spoke rubbish to at Sanctum... I also seemed to have avoided the load-in & load-out... oops :-S). essay writing

Oh well, I'm not known for my poetry. Sanctum is on Friday so turn up, bring beer and laugh. Have the claws ready, innit.

Airwave frenzy
Posted by Hairy Chris on Fri, 2 Jul 2004 4:04pm

We've had some rather interesting news. It appears that XFM has somehow got hold of the RKS demo, and have been playing it....

So, if you want to hear The Metal on air, either phone them up and say "I wanna hear The Metal ... Failure of Usual Reasoning RKS", or click here to send a mail to Ian Camfield! I think it'll be on his show... If it isn't ask him anyway ;-)

Laters pertaters. Blah blah Sanctum blah blah...

July Sanctum Confirmed
Posted by Hairy Chris on Thu, 17 Jun 2004 5:09pm

Well, our name's on the fliers, which counts. Spot Thiago on the top! :-D

Friday 9th July is the date, and we'll be on at approx midnight.

Have it.

Oh, Mario put down his drum tracks for Barrymore, Discount Badger, Beer Angel and (but don't expect this one to work) Polish on Monday. Wooness & Yayness. Also, we're having photos done on Thurs 24th. Properly. Oh dear.

The patron saint of slackness strikes again
Posted by Hairy Chris on Thu, 10 Jun 2004 6:08pm

Yup, been slack here.

1) Big thanks to everyone who made it down to see us last week. Monday & Thursday were silly for different reasons. Photos for the Thursday gig may be on the way.

2) If you weren't at Mastodon you were a foo'. That includes certain band members. :-D

3) Possibilty of recording asap with Fred from the Nebs. Woo, Yay, etc, etc. Not like we need it or anything!

4) More odd tunes in the pipeline. 'Pox' is almost done (I know it got played on Thurs, but it ain't done yet!!), our other nameless one needs finalising, and the Chard has riffage for a new effort. Mmm, nice.

That's yer lot. Bye.

More weirdness
Posted by Hairy Chris on Fri, 28 May 2004 1:59pm

Right... We're totally unprepared for the 31/5 gig - what hasn't helped is Wes getting too close to a bus in East London, and certain people who will remain nameless's, erm, habits (not me, this time). :-D

Anyway, we should be set as we're definitely playing as a 5 piece. That's cool, as a) it'll be way more metal and b) I don't have to rewrite my guitar parts. Yay!

Out of here - we haven't finalised our last tune yet, but the Chardmeister has some plans for our next family favourite. I'll leave you with the thought of 80's speed metal meeting something nasty. We like.

Forthcoming events
Posted by Hairy Chris on Thu, 20 May 2004 1:35pm

OK... I've finally got round to updating the gigs page. We've got 2 shows in the week commencing 31st May, and there are some other ones in the pipeline (tbc).

We're currently trying to get our arses in gear to record a few tracks with Fred from the Nebs. How/when is anyone's guess knowing us.

Finally, the new tune still isn't finished. See comments above, blah blah blah.

Have fun!

In pain after an ugly weekend!
Posted by Hairy Chris on Tue, 4 May 2004 11:47am

Hiya all (I use 'all' advisedly as I don't know who actally reads this crap), hope you had a good bank holiday.

Thanks to all those who came down on Sunday. It went pretty well, as far as I can see. Cheers to all who helped out & played too!

Unfortunately we've had to pull out of the Inner Rage/PoB show on Friday 7th. Don't ask. OK, gotta go, but I will try and update the gigs & photos section this week if I can fix my FTP client as I have shots from the Barfly gig...!
